January 13, 2002 - Dr. Miroslaw P. Ruka has given his first interview to the CTV station
aired on January 14, 2002 during the News Hour at 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. by the

August 01, 2004 - Dr. Allan S. MacDonald has been nominated for the Senior Corporate
positions (Director & Voting Member of the Board of Directors), for the Senior Faculty
Position (Distinguished Professor of General Surgery & Organ Transplantation), and the
Director of Organ Transplant Programs (human medicine) within the
Center's structure
December 03, 2004 - the first meting of the Board of Directors was held
March 07, 2005 - Dr. M.P. Ruka has designed an attachable to the surgical laser unit (its
arm) a
Valve For Organic Smoke Removal. Following Dr. Ruka's plans its first prototype has
been manufactured by Mr. Robert Held (Guelph, Ontario, Canada) on
March 30, 2005.
Such Valve, which can be placed at different angles during the surgeries due to its flexible
and easily adjustable "neck" (directly evacuating smoke from the surgical area of 5.0 cm x
5.0 cm and sterilized by autoclaving), has been successfully tested on
June 09, 2005 (its 1st
prototype) and on
October 24, 2005 (its 2nd prototype) at Dr. Robert Butler's Guelph Animal
Hospital
(Guelph, Ontario, Canada, www.guelphvet.com) using in vitro model simulating
laser surgical procedures carried out on clinical patients.
